Hello everyone,
I have a system with 4 GB RAM and am aiming to
write and execute programs that will use as much as possible of this RAM while
running in 32-bit protected mode (via the GO32 program, linked into my code at
compile time). The main problem has been to get access to all the memo
PMI server if you have more than 2 GB of
physical RAM.
I hope this of interest. Best wishes,

Hi everyone,
Further to my last message, I tried a memory dump
in 16 bit real mode running himem.exe and emm386 and found a great improvement
compared to 32-bit protected mode using CWSDPMI (or DPMIONE which was even
worse). A total of 3.24 GB of extended RAM is detected - here is the

Hi All,
No I am not using Himem.Sys or Himem.exe. I am
writing for 32-bit protected mode, so I need DPMI for the flat memory model,
which in theory should enable the use of all 4 GB of RAM on my system, not just
extra high memory in the real mode. No such real mode high memory manager is

am
using CWSDPMI version 5b as my DPMI server. Please can anybody tell me how (or
if ?) I can configure CWSDPMI to access all of my physical RAM? If this is not
possible, can anyone suggest an alternative DPMI server that supports 4 GB
?
Best wishes,
