In reply to my own message, the situation has now gotten worse. After making the
Debian package and installing it, even after removing and purging it, the tarball
version now doesn't work.
Perhaps it's something to do with the extra libraries that had to be installed to
make the debian package, I

Hi...
we use a router on a PRI interface and so have multiple
inbound phone numbers to use. Previously (using Livingston RADIUS)
we had two phone numbers users could dial in. If they called
the first number then the authentication was made by the

I'm sorry - must have overlooked that documentation file. It took

Yeah, you were right, Alan. It was the MySQL libraries. What would
cause that? Not specifying when ./configure? Here's what I used to
configure mysql:
# more /source/mysql/mysql-3.23.43/configure.sh
CFLAGS="-O3" CXX=gcc CXXFLAGS="-O3 -felide-constructors -fno-exceptions
-fno-rtti" ./configur
I Actually figured it out.
The solution was to add the mysql library path to /etc/ld.so.conf:
/usr/lib
/usr/kerberos/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/services/db/mysql/lib/mysql
libSM.so.6 -> libSM.so.6.0
libPEX5.so.6 -> libPEX5.so.6.0
libICE.so.6 -> libICE.so.6.3
/services/db/mys

Either rlm_sql_mysql.so isn't there, or the MySQL libraries

instantiation failed.

Both the 'users' file and the MySQL are processed.
If you want only one or the other, you'll have to set the
configurable fail-over sections of the module.
