Can't say whether it's a good idea or not to run this feature on the
Cisco router in LeƓnidas' particular environment, but there *is* a
feature of the Cisco IOS that supports HTTP Authentication, called
"Authentication Proxy":

In the users files, replace:
Password == "plaintext password"
with:
Crypt-Password == "encrypted password"
You can use the /scripts/cryptpasswd script from the tarball archive to
encypt the password:
