Hi
You need to re-order your authorize section so that MS_CHAP and CHAP appear
after LDAP. The LDAP module will read the client's details into memory for
use by the 'CHAP authenticate modules.

Hi, I think we are all going in different directions with this one.
"that don't use Pap but normal radius."
What do you mean by "normal radius" ? what are you expecting?
What function does the Nokia box perform for you. What type of
authentication will it be doing?

Hi Robert,
It is the authentication method that the client-nas have decided on that
determines what format the password needs to be in. The CHAP method requires
clear text passwords. The MS-CHAP method requires a NT-PASSWORD or
LM-PASSWORD format. The PAP method requires... and so on.
Regards
the clear text password is a requirement at both ends
of the connection.

Hi,
I d/loaded the latest snapshot last night but I get this error when
processing a request:
radiusd: relocation error: /usr/local/lib/rlm_mschap-0.8.1.so: undefined
symbol: lrad_mschap
I searched the src files for where this is defined but couldn't find it

Hi
from your debug trace:-
"modcall[authorize]: module "mschap" returns notfound"
often means that a password was not found by the authorize function. This
cannot come from the request so it has to be provided by the d'base,
therefore, you need to rearrange the order of module execution so that sq
Hi Stephen,
I'm a newbie at RADIUS-LDAP and also attempting implementation at this time
however I think I can help a bit.
First, LDAP doesn't do authentication on passwords and the like it just
provides the user details upon request from a calling application that's got
the right permissions. A R

I have most of it working providing I pre-determine the Auth-Type, but
request determined Auth-Type defeats me. Some pointers at the basic config
level would be appreciated
