Hello,
I have a problem connecting Freeradius to a mssql
server.
I installed FreeTLS and UNIXodbc and tested their
connection to the mssql server and it worked.
Please tell me what could be the problem ?
radiusd -X reads:
rlm_sql (sql): Driver rlm_sql_unixodbc (module
rlm_sql_unixodbc

I can't seem to get it to do it.
Yes, it's possible. The modules are completely independent, so you
just configure

I don't fully understand what you are trying to do and you snipped a lot
of the debug log, but

Hi there,
We've got FreeRADIUS Version 1.1.4, for host i386-portbld-freebsd5.5
using unixodbc/freetds connecting to a mssql DB.
I've got a number of questions that I hope someone can answer.
1. If the user is found in the sql tables and has reply attributes etc,

For anyone else having this problem. We had to roll back our FREETDS
install from 0.63 to 0.62.3. I'm not sure why the new version of
FREETDS has an issue, but I know I was advised of this with asterisk
as well.

We have the exact same configuration working on another system, but
have been unable to get it to work correctly on this Fedora Core 3
system. We are using rlm_sql to have FreeRadius talk to our MSSQL
2000 database. That works.
The odd part is on the Fedora Core 3 system it seems to be having
freeradius with mssql support, or is there any
howto or doc I dont saw now ?
btw: freeradius is already installed on that server.
additional question: is it possible to run the dialup_admin with mssql instead
of mysql ?
thx 4 yr help,
Achim

I'm looking for some information regarding FreeRadius and
MSSQL. I can find several documents talking about a mysql
setup, but would like some particulers regarding a mssql
setup. Any suggetions? Links, forums, irc channels?

Does anyone use this combination? I am trying to use unixodbc with
freetds to connect to a MS SQL 2000 server. Queries work when I put them
into isql, but for some reason, they don't when freeradius runs them. I
am unable to report the SQL error because the sql_error function in
sql_unixodbc
I've read as much as I can on all of the emails that
have gone back and forth and maybe I'm missing
something:
I installed UnixODBC (version unixODBC-2.2.7) without
the GUI, FreeTDS (version freetds-0.62.1) with the
--with unixODBC option and also FreeRadius (version
freeradius-0.9.3) onto a
