1.i have tried the crypt,md5 and sha1 options present in the pap module in
modules{}section.
the problem is for all the 3 i check with the same encrypted form of
"password" as my password.
i get access-accept for all.
this i got from the mailing list from jan 2004.

2.also i used the script 'cryptpasswd' for getting the md5....and everytime
i get a different value for
the md5...is this how it is suppossed to behave??

3.where can i catch the chap-challenge value???

  You store it as Crypt-Password.
