Dear Listmaster, It has come to my attention that the archives of this list (free-radius-user) include my full email address. This allows spam-bots to find the address and I have noticed a dramatic increase in spam since the archive was posted.
By doing a Google search on my address I can see it has been picked up by Google as well. I have had this address for over ten years so am sensitive to this issue. I will be changing to a new address soon and don't want that one to become a spam target. The list archive does a good job of concealing the originator's email address for an original posting or reply. The list email sent out includes the originator's real email address (which shouldn't be a problem but could also be corrected) but the archive does not. The problem then is when a poster replies to the list with the originator's email included in the top line like "On [date/time] Rich Battin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> said:" Can that be fixed? Other email lists have scripts that replace all real email addresses with something like "[email address removed]." Thanks and keep up the great work on this free project!
