scripts. The log is SUPPOSED to be full of errors, because it's testing

I downloaded version 2.1 from http://freeradius.org/download.html . When
configuring ( ./configure) I got several errors on config.log. I pasted
below part of the log.
This a RedHat ES5 , 64 bits.
Basically the errors are
configure:21137: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -D_REENTRANT

Hi all:
My OS is fedora 3. I download freeradius-1.0.4.tar.gz.
After tar –zxvf it, I do # ./configure first. But the system warning
“configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH”. Any idea why
this could happen?
