Hi,
We're using 2.1.12.
We require a full log of everything that gets sent between a controller and
freeradius.
We've configured detail.log, inner-tunnel and default to log
authentications and replies which work for us, but is there any way to also
log Access-Challenge? I've read some very old p
ing a bug or problema, I'm just asking "how I
do this?".

Thanks for the reply, I will check the config file and arrange the upgrade

No. The detail file has a fixed format, which isn't CSV. If you
change it to CSV, then it's no longer the detail file.
If you want CSV format, see the "linelog" module. You can cha

Read raddb/sql.conf
Look for "sql" in raddb/sites-enabled
See the Wiki for SQL.
This is documented in many, many, places.

Hi everyone,
Can someone swing the clue bat at me, and provide me with information on
where I should look to find out how to disable detail log files for
specific NASs only?
I need to keep the detail files for legacy purposes, but only for
specific NASs, and I'd like to disable the rest of

Hi Mark,
it seems that you forgot a line with
radacctdir = ${logdir}/radacct
if you have no line with radacctdir, then add one with the correct
path.
best regards,

Claudiu,
I know what logdir means :)
But according to the Syslog_Howto from the wiki,
http://wiki.freeradius.org/Syslog_HOWTO :
Modify /etc/raddb/radiusd.conf:
logdir = syslog
log_destination = syslog
Because of the logdir entry above, you must locate all references to
${logdir}, comme

Hello,
I want to log all the freeradius (v 1.1.3) logs to syslog (syslog-ng).
I 've already added this to my syslog-ng.conf :

destination radiuslogs { file("var/log/radiusd.log"); };

See bugs.freeradius.org for rlm_syslog.c.
I took a look at it yesterday, though, and it didn't appear to be
complete.

Hi,
I'm using freeradius 1.0.1 for LDAP-EAP/TTLS authentication, works fine.
I would like to know if it's possible to remove the user-pawword line
from detail log without external script.

Read the radius.log file, it may say why the detail file is not being
created.
Note: The detail file will only be created if an accounting record is
accepted.

Hi!
A small problem I hope. I just have the detail log configured as it was
in the installed radius.conf, but no log
is created. Where can be the problem? The detail is in accounting section I
think. It should create an dir under
var/log/radiusd/radacct/[the_client_ip], but no such dir is
