I've been trying to customize annotation in matlab. Is there anyway to write
an annotation our from matlab in a tksurfer-readable format (e.g., the
writing equivalent of read_annotation.m)?
Alternatively, can you provide some guidance on what the format should be?

yes, there's a write_annotation.m. I'll attach it in case it's not in your
distribution.

The cluster size is the correction, so I don't think you can get an uncorrected
p-value for a cluster size. You could apply a threshold equivalent to 0.05
uncorrected and then see what the size of the cluster is.
