I think it’s just a slight overlap of the flat map. In the FS6 version, using
the sulcal pattern as a reference you can see that the calcarine cut does go
all the way to that point/vertex. If you were to select two vertices on either
side of the

I can't see anything wrong with what you have done (just use 1/6 instead
of 1.6, but that won't change your sig values). How was the aparc.stats
analysis done? Did you use the same FSGD file?
