Hello, We are trying to figure out how to expand the pial surface after FreeSurfer processing has occured. The processed brainmask.mgz has defined the gray matter as red, but the pial surface does not extend out to the red gray matter on a portion of the temporal lobe. Is there a way to expand the pial surface to include the gray matter that is currently not included in the final processed image? We have found information about how to minimize the pial surface if dura is included as gray matter, but we haven't found anything on how to increase the pial surface to include red gray matter voxels that were left out.
