External Email - Use Caution Hello freesurfer team, Please does Freesurfer have a function or a code for tissue Segmentation just like in FSL that you can do tissue based segmentations into GM, WM and CSF and also their partial volume segmentations? Thank you. ___

Hi Nayoung, you could certainly replace the labels in the aseg.mgz in matlab. The file FreeSurferColorLUT.txt contains all the indices you will need (e.g. Left_Hippocampus is index 17 in the aseg.mgz). Note that we don't label sulcal csf, just ventricular csf. cheers, Bruce On Tue, 27 Feb 2

Hello, I am wondering if I can get a mask(labelled volume) for each tissue types - not a structure. I can see that Freesurfer is generating a surfaces between gray/white and gray/CSF. Can I get a volume which correspond to WM/GM/CSF? Thank you. Nayoung ___
