Just testing one I had 23 active calls in a conference ( half SIP and half
PSTN ). This was with real people ( desk phones and cell phones ).

I am coming in a little late on this conversation but you can have both with
keeping the existing mailman system. I added freeswitch-users to Nabble
groups back in March. The same thing can be done to freeswitch-dev and we
might be able to import the even older freeswitch-users data.

I started it up on Nabble a few months ago so I could search the mailing list

Can the userlist be 2 columns? This might be an option until I can get the
existing sidecars I have to work the way I want them to.

Ok.. I need some suggestions. Currently I have a couple of snom 370 phones
with 2 sidecars on each phone for the receptionist and her backup location.
Those phones monitor the status of ~55 extensions. The Snoms seem to be
having a devil of a time doing this. Several times a day they get RE

At least for Snom phones that is possible ( and used daily with FS at my
office ). In the sample dialplan is a setting for Snom's Park+Orbit button
option. If you set the same Park+Orbit # on a button on all the phones you
can push the button when in a call, the call is parked and the light on
Is it possible to have an xml based ivr play the greeting message once and if
no response within a timeout period go ahead and tranfer to an internal
extension in place of repeating the greeting?
Also, is menu-exec-api and menu-exec-app when used in an xml ivr the same
thing?
Thanks,

Is it possible to control the volume of a call leg? Specifically lowering.
What I am experiencing is that with the multicast paging, the volume level
appears to the end user to be higher than a normal call held on speakerphone on
the same phone.

Does the current mod_voicemail ( or any other part of fs ) currently support a
user directory lookup feature? I'm thinking along the lines of 'Type in the
first 3 letters of a persons last name' sort of lookup app.

Any ideas on the proper way to get the packets to flow out the eth0.5
for paging on Linux?

What is the best way to accomplish this? Can 'local_ip_v4' be set in
vars.xml and have it override any autodetection of the IP address on the
server?

Would I be correct in assuming that you can change the default paging ip and
port in this manner:

I would like to ask anyone that has working IVRs to please post them to
the list or on the wiki ( http://wiki.freeswitch.org ). If you post to
the list I will add them to the wiki for you. The few items on the wiki

I wish to connect FS to * for interoperability testing and can't seem to
get my configs correct. Has anyone done this already and if so can you
post your configs?
I can call from FS to the asterisk side via a dialplan entry where
