What db application (hint hint)?;-)
So maybe what I have to do is ^\d$ and lookup $1 in a db to find the
number to dial?

Tie that to the db application and you'll have it.

How do I emulate a speed dial setup. That is, from extension 1003 I dial
just a 1 ( or 2, or 3 etc.) and nothing else and freeswitch dials a PSTN
number. Is there software to do this?

I have a several weeks old freeswitch-snapshot installed on FreeBSD 6.2 that
I would like to update and keep current with svn but I am unsure of the
correct procedure.
I checked out freeswitch trunk, ran bootstrap.sh, ./configure and make but
am having second thoughts about running make install
That sounds like exactly what I want but I don't seem to be able to find
anything in the current default ivr example. I can find the
ivr-hold_connect_call.wav sound file but nothing that uses it or with
'max-failures=1' or 'extension dialing'. Also nothing in the wiki, mailing
list or on
Thanks, that took care of it.

Great, now that I have the latest configs, I can follow it from ivr.conf.xml
and features.xml for the case where digits for local extensions are pressed
during the IVR playback. Thanks.
Now, how do I initiate a transfer to a local extension when the end of the
IVR playback is reached and no
Where can I find the patch?

We have a patch to correct this. Also you should be able to put
something at the end of it once that patch is in.

I'm having difficulty in trying to configure my own IVR (not modifying the
demo_ivr files). I think I have most of it figured out but I don't
understand the structure and my friends grep and find aren't helping much.
I can't seem to figure out why the macros in
