Hi, Enclosed are two meta-packages spec files (which are in CVS also) for future apt support, and the most recent Freevo Dependency list. I've updated the freevo dependencies list. If someone can scan through to see if the categories are actually correct. It's starting to look like the freevo

[Freevo-devel] SDL 1.2.6 and nokeyboard patch

2003-09-17 Thread Wan Tat Chee
Hi, Is the nokeyboard patch still needed for SDL 1.2.6? I also tried to build for Dxr3 support but I guess it needs more than just a patch(missing include path info probably). I don't know how up to date the Wiki is on the build procedures. My sources are ffmpeg 0.4.7 and SDL 1.2.6

2003-09-17 Thread Wan Tat Chee
Hi, I noticed that the contrib/lirc and contrib/xmltv are not installed by python setup. I believe they should be installed by default since they contain useful scripts. In addition, the boot directory has some files which are really out of date. boot_config still points to /usr/local/freevo.

2003-09-17 Thread Wan Tat Chee
Hi, I'm getting quite a few crashes with the CVS snapshot. I'm not sure what is the cause, since I'm running with python 2.2.2 on RH 9 and I might still be missing python modules since it's running without the runtime. mmpython is the released 0.1 version. 1. freevo cache ===

Hi, I discovered that if I tried to use freevo fbxine to playback DVDs in fbdev mode (vesafb, NVIDIA GF4 MX440), it can't do so. xine (in X11 mode) is working fine, and so if running fbxine directly on the commandline. I believe its due to freevo's use of '-V vidixfb', via XINE_VO_DEV which is

[Freevo-devel] Re: Freevo CVS snapshot (Sep 18 2003) crashes

Hmm. I found out that it's because of stale freevo cache stuff. If I removed the cache directory and rerun freevo cache, it works. I believe that there should be a 'rm -rf /var/cache/freevo/*' performed when 'freevo cache' is run. However, this means that the testfiles directory can't reside in
