For proper translation, it would be unevitable to have the format specs within the translated strings. (If there are multiple values to be interpolated, it could even be necessary to use the %(named)s syntax to allow for reordering.) Of course, this is only meant as informative comments; as long as people don't complain about the translations they get, it can be ignored.
