I have a list of videos in divx format like this. movie 1.avi movie 2.avi movie 3 [cd1].avi movie 3 [cd2].avi
freevo (1.5.0-rc4) joins movie 3 in one virtual file named
"movie 3 [cd1-2].avi".
During the playback of movie 3 [cd1-2].avi if I change to "movie 2.avi" and
go back to "movie 3 [cd1-2].avi" it plays the second file instead of
starting from the begining of the movie.
Mplayer has an option named "-fixed-vo" that doesn't restart video mode
when playing multiple files. I think it could be used to play "joined" files
with less glitches. In my box changing from one part of the movie to the
other part takes 5 seconds and a blue flash while using something like:
mplayer -fixed-vo "movie 3 [cd1].avi" "movie 3 [cd2].avi"
is almosts instantaneous.
