I am thinking something like an entry in the toplevel menu (the one that you see when Freevo first starts) that would take you to a menu where you could select applications to run. This way you could run an entire "media convergence center" with Freevo. You could run Opera or Mozilla to browse, AbiWord to type letters, Gnomemeeting for video phone on the TV and Tuxpaint for the kid. Or lots of other things.
If it isn't possible now, is that something that is planned in the future? I don't know the first thing about Python or I'd start work on it myself. I can't imagine that this would be too difficult.
