It more looks like a bugfix to me. So you should apply it.

Hello!
I'm currently working on a mailreader for freevo. Currently it
implements the IMAP4 protocol and some preliminary POP3 support. This
part of the task is nearly complete (needs a little clean-up in
exception-handling etc). So, the real problem left is the GUI-interface.
Currently I use Main

“Every program attempts to expand until it can read mail. Those
programs which cannot so expand are replaced by ones which can.”
But only because we already had MP3 playing. That's the other law;
every program eventually can play mp3s. :)

I've already started :-)
I'll send a new xml-structure draft tomorrow (met some problems and
need some advice)

I would like to see you in Freevo's team :)
We already thought about using MPlayer as video device, but since we
use SDL and it supports a lot of devices, it fits just well.
One way to do that would be writing a SDL patch to use
mplayer+bmovl2 as device...
Also, how will you keep mplayer
I'm not really an xml guy, but have a few comments. Just tell me if I

the crash itself.
Freevo had been running for about 24 hours, and I was playing music as
per normal, and after the song I was playing (track 1) finished, it
crashed as track2 began.

Hello,
Rob and I were thinking about replacing our GUI with PyUI some time
ago. PyUI is much more powerfull and we could benefit from it. It
already has a basic html render, so html emails would look good.
However none of us have time to implement it now, it's lower
priority at least for me.

I saw that on the mplayer-list! Great work, gotta love open source :)
I haven't tested it yet, but how do you make MPlayer update things while
paused? I was talking to the devs about that when I implemented bmovl but
was told that it would require "major architectural changes" to mplayer...

I create the MainMenuPlugin staff:

Hi,
I've been using freevo (on Gentoo) for quite a while, the 1.3.4
worked quite well for me, but now I'm trying to get 1.4rc1 to run,
and I seem to have quite a lot of errors.
I followed this scenario:
1) start freevo
2) select 'Watch a Movie'
3) select any directory
4) freevo crashes!
