Are there some documents that explain how to build this?
Regards.

Hi,
played a bit around yesterday and could successfully compile everything when
using libsdl-1.2.4, though on my main machine it even works with
libsdl-1.2.5.

Hi Alan,
Have tried VIAs drivers (http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=296#KPLE) yet ?
Check out the the item marked New (Mandrake 9.0), maybe this can help you...
Anyway, there is a README in that package that might be helpfull.
Maybe you will have to use them in order to get the "Device" parameters
Okay, so I'm making a little progress. I am getting
the "ModeLines"; in fact, everything seems to be
loading, except my screen is still blank (but a sort
of darker blank, if you know what I mean?)
Running 'ps -aux' confirms that Freevo is running:

Ok the -encode fixed the gtk problem
Thanks a lot
freevo-runtime compilains about freetype-config
missing the first time I run it.
then after that freevo-runtime compilains about
undefined SDL referances.

Actually, I think that's the same board I have :-) I
actually bought it to play with, and once satisifed
with the results, will likely upgrade to one of the
other models, and
Hello,
To whom do I submit documentation? I didn't see this
in the docs already, but I have successfully setup and
ATI RF remote for use under Freevo using LIRC, and I
figured there may be others who would be interested.
Should I just post it here?
Please advise.

Just as an addendum to this, I am using a recompiled mplayer (it's in

I tried using ./runtime/mplayer/mplayer and it did NOT work with dxr3,

Hi,
I'm unable to get my sound working in the pre4

I use -ac mad -ac hwac3 and -ao alsa9 on my sblive

The standard mplayer won't work with this. I've
tried the runapp runtime/apps/mplayer/mplayer with these args and that one also

There is an option in your local freevo config for starting freevo in full screen mode.
I run Freevo as the WM on my Gentoo box using a GeForce4 MX 420. It works great. I
setup my XF86Config to house mutliple screen configs. The startx script will use my

Sorry, I know this is not so much a Freevo issue as an
X issue, but I thought I would post here to see if any
other ideas popped up.

It seems that I fixed my own problem.
I reverted to a stock freevo-runtime installation, and set the output to
dxr3 in freevo.conf, and all was good.
Apparently the runtime dlls have dxr3 built in, since I haven't seemed
to have any problems yet.
I haven't tried watching TV on it yet, but vide

Hrm, Mandrake 9.1 detected them as "Trident Cyberblade

will give that a try first, but with the ModeLin

Why load a windows manager at all? Freevo is setup to be the 'windows
manager' on my gentoo box and works pretty well.
Paul
To those running Freevo under X: what window managers
do you use??
