Hi, I'm wondering how I can change volume while playing movie in Freevo. I
am using 1.4rc3. I typed "h" and it shows keypad for volume control. I hit +
or minus on keyboard and bar pops up but nothing changes.

ummm... how do I do a CVS upgrade? I'm using 1.4rc1 on RedHat 8.0, never
do
This works if the filename is what you want to search imdb for, you
can also search imdb manually from the command-line:
freevo imdb -s 'my movie title'
and then take the returned number:
freevo imdb [imdb_number] [fxdfile.fxd] movie1.mpg movie2.mpg ... movieN.mpg

Hi,
In earlier versions Freevo did produce debug-logging
(more specific, the actual commandline used to start
an mplayer instance) in the log file.
Now in 1.4rc3 it doesn't do that anymore. How can I
turn that on again?

I'll try that. Do you ha
Just select the movie, bring up the context-menu via "E" or whatever you
mapped to ENTER, and select the IMBD entry ...
The .fxd will be created for you!

Well, u can read the DTD or make an example fxd file with freevo and copy/edit
it manually. If u want to make some program that makes fxd files then you'll
have to learn some Python to use fxdimdb.py, or u'll have to implement a imdb
parser / xml writer in your own favourite language.

My box only has one input device (a gamepad). When I select a game, it loads
fine. As soon as I use the controller zsnes exits and freevo appears. My
guess is that freevo is still bound to the controller. Does anyone know how to
fix this?
Freevo Version: 1.4rc3

Hi,
I have several movies in avi format and it would be nice to have a FXD file
associated with them so that they will display nicely within freevo. I am
not quite sure how to create these files however. I have read the
documentation for the fxdimdb.py class, but I am not a pyhon programmer,
I didn't even put .bin in my extension list, it just worked!
Play around with the mplayer_args in your local_freevo.conf, try it on the
commandline, when i was on fbdev, is used mplayer's software scaler, now
under X it works with only the fullscreen switch...

Hello,
I'm using Freevo (1.4rc3). I'm running this on top
of Debian with an Matrox G400 using mga_vid. Everything
works good when playing Divxs, Xvids, AVIs, MPEGs etc.
Problem is when playing and SVCD-Imagefile (.bin-format)
it doesn't really scale up the full size.
It looks like this:

Hello,
my thoughts are compatible with your setup. I like Perl ugly code and I'm
interested in multiple frontends and single database setup and also mixed OS
setup (Linux being on main server ;-) ). I also have an idea of featured

Hello,
I'm changing LOCALE to latin-2 but I get unknown coding error. Do I have to
do anything else to use latin2 coding ?
I use 1.4rc3.
Thanks,
Robert.
