Hi
I'm seeing a fair bit of judder when playing back stuff recorded on a
PVR-250 on fbdev. If I play it on dfbmga, it looks OK.
There's plenty of CPU time to make do with during playback, so it's not
because the machine can't keep up. For that reason, I can't believe the
playback is working on df

I've had good luck with Redhat (Now Fedora Core). Slick installer and
lots of extra setup tools.

OK, got my Freevo working, but noticed an interesting problem.
When WATCHING TV, the image is fullscreen, no big black borders, nothing.
But when watching recorded video, the image doesn't qute make it to

I'm doing my best to rely entirely on the Freevo, which has been doing,
frankly, awesome work--I got lirc working finally, and it's just about
ready for prime time.
Except one thing--watching TV through the freevo, the colors are
noticeably washed out compared to the cable-box tuner (switching

Haven't made my decision about distro's yet (and since I suck at all things
Linux, I'll be spending a LOT of time on here).

I'm having some trouble with the debian packaged freevo.
Where should I put my local_conf.py? In /usr/share/freevo? Freevo
seems to ignore it?

Hi,
since 1.4 is not bugfree, I guess we should release Freevo 1.4.1 next
sunday. CVS is not stable right now, so 1.4.1 will base on 1.4 with
the following patches:

I just noticed myself. I always thought that xmltv felt too brittle, as in
having just one "feed" per grabber. I don't know perl(I have failed horribly
at least twice :), but I'll se if I can find something in java that can be
modifed...
