Found part of the problem.. the ivtv module spawns mplayer for playback. Since my X11 session is on /dev/fb2 (which is the TV-out card). mplayer gets confused and the video is lost. I snagged a mplayer '-vo ivtv' patch and that seems to help on the mplayer front (also improves the playback on my

Hey Andrew, thanks I found it. But this introduced a whole new set of problems - and I dont understand why. I know this is quite off topic, but maybe there is a kind soul out there who can help. When I compile the ERTC in, during boot, the system cant mount my reiserfs root partition (HUH).
