The patches for SDL-1.2.7 are definitely needed. SDL 1.2.6 with the patches does not compile with the latest version of ffmpeg, neither does it compile with the latest version of ALSA. I am now using a DXR3 card as a hardware AC3 pass-through device. I cannot use it as a video output device becau
