I have a lot of foreign TV stations on the cable overhere.
To make my TV-guide work, I had to strip out al non standard characters.
Specific TVE has characters like ñ the ! upside down character, German TV
stations with the ü character etc...
I stripped out al blocking characters with a bash scrip

I would like to include the channel in my DVB recordings. I have tried
to modify the TV_RECORDFILE_MASK from;
'%%m-%%d %%H-%%M %(progname)s - %(title)s'
to;
'%%m-%%d %%H-%%M %(progname)s - %(title)s - %(channel)s'
But this just appears to kill the record process entirely.

I've install the recordserver as explained in the web. It seems to work, and I
can even see the menu for copying the dvd. But it gives: "ERROR:
EncodingClient: connection error".
