When I substitute --geometry 1280x720, freevo chokes with:

I went from top to bottom of 'local_conf.py' setting what I thought was
needed.
We must remember I don't know anything about most of this stuff.

I did fix a small bug in the routine that checks for external programms.
This is the new version.
Moreover I put a description and a download link in the wiki.
Maybe someone is intersted in this after all.
