I am haveing an odd issue with 1.6. It is not reading DVDs as dvds but
as data disks. No errors are showing up that I can find. ANyone have
any idea as to a cause? The Smae dvd's work fine under 1.5.4.

Yea, I have this problem when using "freevo -fs" but it's only when using the fs option. If I use it in framebuffer mode, I can kill it fine. I think the Xserver get's in the way of killing it but it never really bothered me.
