On the subject of flickering, it seems like the freevo gui could take it upon itself to average neighboring scan lines to reduce/eliminate flicker. I take it there's currently no option for this. I am thinking it would be a performance hit, but then again, you're just displaying static images

There is a DVB EPG grabber (tv_grab_dvb http://www.darkskiez.co.uk/index.php?page=tv_grab_dvb), MHEG is not the EPG data but the red button applications, which is something completely different. See redbutton on sourceforge for more information. I am also working on a complete solution for free

Another thing about matrox on the framebuffer. I notice that text seems to flicker more than it used to. Is there a way to set freevo to use larger text or a way to cut down on this flicker? I think it is any horizontal line, actually - text just has a lot of horizontal single-pixel lines.

First off, the config files Philip Armstrong posted were a particular help in getting things up and running on my new matrox card. Thanks very much! One thing I notice is that the first time I start freevo, it displays on the primary rather than the secondary head. I have worked around this
