On the subject of flickering, it seems like the freevo gui could take it
upon itself to average neighboring scan lines to reduce/eliminate
flicker. I take it there's currently no option for this. I am thinking
it would be a performance hit, but then again, you're just displaying
static images

Thanks Duncan,
I'll try that, and I think I'll also try out some of the other sk
There is a DVB EPG grabber (tv_grab_dvb
http://www.darkskiez.co.uk/index.php?page=tv_grab_dvb), MHEG is not the EPG

I am also working on a complete solution for free

Another thing about matrox on the framebuffer. I notice that text seems
to flicker more than it used to. Is there a way to set freevo to use
larger text or a way to cut down on this flicker? I think it is any
horizontal line, actually - text just has a lot of horizontal
single-pixel lines.

I was hoping there was some kind of way to bypass getting the XML feed
from a TV-listings web
First off, the config files Philip Armstrong posted were a particular
help in getting things up and running on my new matrox card. Thanks
very much!
One thing I notice is that the first time I start freevo, it displays on
the primary rather than the secondary head. I have worked around this

Is there any way Freevo could handle this better, say if the TV guide

corrupt just present a blank TV guide so at least TV channels could be
