seems like i can't get audio spidf out (iec958) when playing music, but
when playing video files everything is ok.
in freevo 1.8.2 (gentoo) i've configured the MPLAYER_AO_DEV_OPTS
='device=iec958' and MPLAYER_AO_DEV= 'alsa'.
these parameters are correctly passed to the mplayer
I am using freevo 1.9.0. When trying to watch TV with ivtv_xine I get
no volume control. If I watch a video using xine I have control over
sound. It looks like I need to do something about SetAudioByChannel
but I am not sure what I need to set.

I'd like to use vlc as preferred video player.
Can anybody tell me whether it is possible to control it via a remote control
on Freevo - and, better still, how to configure it!
