Hello everyone,
after I managed to install freevo finaly I have a problem to understand
the new VCR_CMD.
I used this at freevo version 1.4:
VCR_CMD = ("aumix -W 100 -w 100 -i 100 -1 100; " +
CONF.mencoder + " " +
"tv:// " + # New mplayer requires
this

Yes. I ran into that problem first. Thatswhy I have already altered
webserver.py and recordserver.py
Ok. I discovered already /tmp/freevo
Here is the problem. Does anybody see a solution ?

Hello everone,

http://ubuntu.geole.info/
I managed to start webserver and recordserver without error messages:

Your VCR_CMD does not match your log entry.
please issue "locate conf.py", what conf files are found? Looks like
you have disputing config files somewhere.

I tried a mixture of Gedeco's and john molohan's tips.
It didn't help. I still can only record the channel I am viewing.
Obviously it does not understand "custom" as frequency table.
Is this only valid for another freevo version ?
The recordserver-log looks like this:
2004/09/16 19:15 CEST [*Record
Maybe you have to put
"remove (poltergeist.plugin)"
in you local_conf.py

Freevo mysterously becomes unpaused
2004-09-14 14:23
I"m using the second most recent version of Freevo. I was
watching some
movie yesterday and paused it and turned off TV. Then,
I changed it to TV_DRIVER = "v4l2" in local_conf.py. The effect just is
that nothing changes. It is exactly as before. Of course I rebooted
after the modif. It always says [*RecordServer*] ERROR: Unable to get
frequency for channel xy (even when I commented the channel entry and
gave frequency
I rebooted after every modif in local_conf.py.
But it seems that no matter if I use ':freq=%(frequencyMhz)s' or
:freq=%(frequency)s/1000' it always falls back to the channel (though
it is # commented):
it only records the channel actually shown:
VCR_CMD = ( 'aumix -l 100 -l R -i 1; '+
Dear People,
I run out of ideas where to configure freevo to be able to record the
scheduled channel and not the one I am actually viewing.
I always get
[*RecordServer*] ERROR: Unable to get frequency for channel xy
no matter where I put frequency information for my channels.
I tried different VC
The version I have installed is:
freevo-1.5-rc3_fc2.noarch.rpm
freevo-boot-1.5-rc3_fc2.noarch.rpm
freevo-core-suite-1.5-2_freevo.noarch.rpm
freevo-recording-suite-1.5-1_freevo.noarch.rpm

Unfortunatly neighter "tv://%(channel)s -tv " + neighter the changes
described on
http://freevo.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/RecordingInfo
didn't have any effect in my case.
My VCR_CMD now is:
VCR_CMD = ( 'aumix -l 100 -l R -i 1; '+
'/usr/bin/mencoder ' +
'tv:// -tv '
Greetings.
I am curious if anybody has an idea for me: I have Fedora2, WinTV and
freevo 1.5. I managed to watch TV, manual-record with sound and see
xlmtv listings. My problem is that I can only record a channel when it
is active. Recordings only work for channels that I am actually
watching.
