Hi all,
I am registered in linkedin.com and i just discovered that there is a
MythTV group. For people that do not know linkedin, it is a social network
dedicated to "professionnal" contacts.
So i think that i might be a good idea to group Freevo users/developpers

I am not using Xine, but i am using mplayervis (with pygoom, of course).
But this combination (ie mplayervis and detachbar) was perfectly working in
the 1.7 trunk. So is there a kind of regression here ?

Hi all,
I am not 100% about my config, but it seems that the detach plugin is no
more working in the 1.8rc1. I just tried to used this feature a few hours
ago, and when i press the DISPLAY key during audio playback, it just
displays the picture of the audio album in full screen, instead of

Hi, i was the initial author of this generic feature. The file given as
argument is built from the choice you select on the list of games you have
in the folder. So as far as i see, the current setup you hav should work.
What is exactly the issue?

Hi all,
This plugin (movie trailers from the web into Freevo) is dedicated to

I just do a quick test, and this command:
mplayer -identify -frames 0 -vo null -ao null
is doing the trick !
Hope it helps

Thanks Tanja !
I confirm that the src/video/plugins/mplayer.py is issuing 2 times the -v
option when you are in CHILDAPP_DEBUG.
The second -v is heavily slowing mplayer!!! I just remove the first -v
option associated with the '-slave' one and everything is perfect now !

I just upgrade to 1.7.0, and i have a very annoying issue:
- when i launch an AVI file (and maybe any movie, i did not try with mkv
or DVD), i must wait 1 minute before seeing the movie.
- when the movie finally starts, freevo consumes 60% of the CPU (compared
to 5% in the 1.7.0 )

Allocine.py is a video plugin similar to imdb.py, but for french speaking

This new version is now more robust against the website and is able to

You need now to add some variables to your local_conf.py, like this :

The "allocine.py" plugin is now available in the Addons section of the

It has the same functions that the video/plugins/imdb.py, but for french

Of course, you should activate the games menu (plugin.activate...)
Then the 'Commodore 64' line should appear below the games menu.
BTW, i advice to use the -VICIIdsize option, which allows resizin of the
screen.
So the DIR_GAMES becomes !
DIR_GAMES=[('Commodore
