Hello there,

does anyone have experience using the ATI Remote Wonder USB or compatibles for freevo?

I wonder how the latency / key repetition feels using lirc / ati_remote is. Which one is better?

And do both methods work using DirectFB as well? I am afraid that DirectFB uses direct access to the ps/2-keyboard-port, right?
So does the HID-module for the keyboard mode of the remote work at all using freevo with DirectFB?

P.S.: Currently, you can get ATI Remote USB (compatible) remotes quite cheap at eBay Germany for EUR 19,99:

Does anybody know if these devices are Remote Wonder I or Remote Wonder II compatible? Currently, only the first version seems to be working well in Linux...
