I installed freevo from the debian sources and got everything up and
running first by using X11 and a 3dfx card for tv-out. I had an old
DXR3 card lying around and figured I ought to do something with it, so I
decided to set it up in my freevo box and use it because it has better
video out. Everything was great and everyone was happy until I tried to
get the DXR3 to work.

I compiled my own libSDL and got everything working to the point where
it actually flashed the TV on and tells me it's using the DXR3 driver,
then inexplicably exits with an error.

Here's what it looks like:

freevo:/home/shawn# freevo
Error: VIDEO_SHOW_DATA_DIR not found
ROM_DRIVES: Auto-detected and added "('/cdrom', '/dev/cdrom', 'CD-1')"
ROM_DRIVES: Auto-detected and added "('/dvd', '/dev/dvd', 'DVD-2')"

Please run 'freevo cache'

WARNING: /etc/freevo/lircrc not found!

If anyone can help me out I'd be most appreciative. I am relatively
sure the problem isn't in my DXR3 since I use mplayer from the command
line to watch files on the TV usig the dxr3.

I'm using Freevo 1.5 and debian sid. I'm using ffmpeg 0.4.6 and sdl
1.2.6

I have gotten exactly the same results with the runtime as well.

Thanks,
Shawn
