What did you use and how did you set it up? I've currently got no idea how to set it up under Freevo so the tv out works, I'm not too bothered if it requires X since I've since compiled and installed it on my Freevo Gentoo box. Got it working using the framebuffer so it outputs to the monitor but it tends to either freeze up or just come up with a black screen for a second or so then goes back to the freevo menu screen.
I've got a 32MB Radeon 7000 here with two vga outs and a single s-video out.
