That's great that Norfolk design is charitable, but what does that have
to do with Full Disclosure? Is there a breach of data or something?
What?

So why not have a file that it looks up instead of having to recompile
for every IP change, and look up the file on restart?

Depends on the Jurisdiction... However If I found out that it was my
site, I'd have to debate on whether or not to sue your ass... But that's
just me... However, you could approach the website to see if they would
like you to do a security audit or port-scan for them...
Just a thought

So what can be done about this exploit? Does 4.1.2 protect against this
vulnerability? And what other mitigation procedures are available for
this?
Thanks.

Remember, not everybody in America shares the same opinion as those who
are in charge. Bush's approval rating is 35%, the lowest of his
presidency, and I expect that it will only get lower. Nobody says
anybody approves of the bombing of civilians.

In relation to Gary McKinnon, what happened to the good old days when
companies wanted you to help them secure their stuff? When did
everybody who tries to do a port scan become a hacker? I mean, yes
there is such as thing social responsibility But geez, every time
somebody tries to exploit somet
ake this a bit further, and go under the assumption that hell
exists according to the myth of heaven and hell... and hell were to
freeze
over, there's be lots of stuff that I'd have to do that isn't
appealing.

Can we get back onto topic. Not everybody is going to like everybody,
and this list is really starting to irritate me with this useless
complaining about who should be on and who should be off the list. If
you don't like it, leave.
