Dear Tom

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my proposed project. The whole 
communication was very instructive for me in understanding the beggars' 
feelings when they expose their need to unsympathetic citizens. Your 
reply shows that you are probably a lucky exception to the rest of 
humanity who need to ask the strangers for help or co-operation (a rare 
privilege, particularly in the academic world). 

Hope you manage to sustain this elite position.
