Hello everyone,
I recently installed gabber (yes, because of the MSN problems MS is
causing) and I want to make some Styles for it. It has a small window
which indicates status (light bulb when online etc.), a main window,
chat windows etc. This brings me to this problem. Let's say I have

Can anybody tell me if there are fvwm-menu-directory online somewhere?
I love this feature but even with the manpage I have some questions...
Mainly about --icon-file and to have a directory menu as top level
menu. TIA!

I also post this to the mailing list, because if you have technical
questions, I probably won't be able to answer :-)

Hello everyone,
I just did an upgrade from 2.4 to 2.5.7 and now I have some strange
window resize behaviour. When I place the mousecursor on the border of
any window and drag, nothing happens. When i release the button, I can
resize until I click again. The same happens with a single click o a

Hi everyone,
Recently I upgraded (actually reinstalled) two workstations from RedHat
7.3 to 9. First thing to do afterwards was installing FVWM. The problem
is that one machine runs just fine, the other one has a problem with
the default RedHat mouse cursors. In 24b color mode the mouse is OK,
Hello everyone,
In my fvwm I run a sticky gkrellm to monitor what's going on. I would
like new windows to not overlap this one application. I guess it's done
with a Style command in .fvwm2rc but I couldn't find it. Any tips?
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to modify my .fvwm2rc to get this mousepointer behaviour:
- when I call a menu from the root window with a key combo, the
mousepointer should not warp to the first menu item
- when I go through a menu with the keyboard, the mousepointer should
not follow the selec
Hello everyone,
My .fvwm2rc has these statements:

Hello everybody,
A small question about CursorStyle. When I'm over an XTerm window, my
cursor is a very narrow default shape like a capital "I" which I
"loose" a lot. I would like to change that but I have no idea which
context this is.
TIA for any help!

Hello everyone,
I went from gnome + sawfish to fvwm some time ago. I love the speed,
versatility and the fact that I can set everything in just a few files
(.Xinitrc, .xdefaults and .fvwm2rc).
There is one thing I miss though: files on the desktop. In gnome when
you use gmc or nautilus there i

Hello everybody,
I've been using fvwm2 for a few months now, like a a lot (I come from
gnome + sawfish). There is one thing that gives me some trouble, that's
how do I give windowtitles their background and text color?
If I want active windows to have green text on a solid red background

Hello everyone,
Just like everybody else I'm building My Perfect .fvwm2rc :-). I like
to be able to resize a window by right dragging on the titlebar, so I
put this in my rc:
Mouse 3 T A Function TitleLeftClick
AddToFunc TitleLeftClick
+ M Resize
This works almost as I expected, except f

Hello everyone,
A few days ago I moved from gnome+sawfish to fvwm (2.4.14 on a redhat
box), mainly because of the speed (IMO gnome was a bit slow on a 450MHz
CPU). I like it a lot, especially the freedom to configure everything
you want in two text files (.xinitrc and .fvwm2rc).
