I use imfostore for a variable that can have 2 values: "2>/dev/null" or "". When I try to initialize it to "", I get the following:
InfoStoreAdd TestVariable "" [fvwm][CMD_InfoStore]: <<ERROR>> Bad arguments given. I don't know if it is a wanted behaviour. But "" or '' are not the same than a missing value. This it is not a problem for my use case, if I do the same with a space " ", it work fine. I use it as an extra parameter to functions that launch external software from the menus or buttons. That way, I can choose if I want or not the messages from those software mixed with the ones from fvwm into the log file, Very useful to silent the kde or gtk+ programs :) Dominique -- "We have the heroes we deserve."
