make sure to follow the install instructions in the PDF for the SP
Think it's rpm -i --force
the force is important

Nick,
You need to use the replacefiles rpm option with the
Checkpoint upgrades. Try using :
rpm -ivh --replacefiles CPfw1-41.4.SP4.i386.rpm
