My experience with our laser-based printers at work would lead me to
suggest it might be a (gulp) drum problem. You might check around or keep
your eye out for someone selling one on ebay or ??

If you're running 9.2 you can always boot from the restore CD and do a
restore of the operating system. This will re-install the OS but
won't touch any of the third party extensions or control panels you've
added. It also won't touch anything on the disk (like your files,
etc.). It
