much memory does that system take up?

This may be off topic, but how do you subscribe to that newsgroup? I don't
think this list is a "newsgroup"; I think it is a listserve. I have never
dealt with a "newsgroup" I don't think. I use Outlook Express.

The Lucent (now Agere) Orinoco Silver is probably what you want. It does
not require cardbus. It's 16 bit. I've seen them for around $50. they are

I don't know about the Visor cradle, but my Palm cradle actually goes to
serial (for pc's) first. I then connect it to either my older non-USB Macs
with a PC-serial to Mac serial short adapter cord (this would be a
modem/printer port on the older powerbooks), or I use a PC-serial to USB
short adap
Just a comment. The protocol for including URL's in messages is precede them
with the less-than sign (<) and follow them with the greater-than (>) sign.
This will keep the whole URL, starting with the http part, together if it
splits into more than one line in your email message. Then, when someon
is your connection to the internet active at the time Software Update is
trying to run?

Assuming you have Appleworks 6, why not just get the latest upgrade for
Appleworks which is free on the apple.com/appleworks site? It gives you the
DataViz translators to read and save Microsoft Word and Excel 2001 documents
to the latest PC formats.
