I can't explain why it worked, but this began happening to me after I
upgraded the HD in my Wallstreet. The solution was to eject the right media
bay [CD-ROM] and then press the power key. Odd? But, it managed to start up

I have nothing but a blank screen. No amount of command key, force quitting,
anything. Just a reboot. I did notice an upgrade to 5.0.3 after some looking
last nightwill have to try that too.

Mine has to inserted nearly completely, and then makes a disconcerting
(though apparently common) noise.
