a similar problem? Can anyone
suggest the source of the disk error, that the hardware test would not pick
up?

on a know good G4. Has anyone else experienced
a failure like this an how much does it cost to repair?? Any
help would be appreciated. I can't believe my firewire is dead,
firewire is my life.

I have several other Macs with 9.2.2 and firewire seems to work fine.
I want to use it to mount external hard drives, CD burner and DVD player.
