I spent the last days trying to get a Avaya (Orinoco) card working with my D-Link DI-514 11MBit WLAN router - without success :-(
I tried several driver software (Orinoco, Avaya, IOXperts) and was always able to "see" the base station (at least I got the network's name and signal strength). but that was all: No ping to base station or other (Win) Computers possible. If I use a ethernet connection to the base station everything works fine. On top of that Win-PC/Laptop using a D-Link 610 card works fine, but not my Mac.
Detail: Mac OS 9.2.2, Avaya Gold Card, D-Link 514, no firewall activated, SSID set and tried w/ + w/o WEP encryption.
Does anybody know if theres some difficulties having Avaya (formerly Lucent) mixed with D-Link Products? Is there any way to solve this problem ?
