I have a LaCie external dvd burner that works really great and my next ext HD will also be a LaCie. I have an 80 gig western ext HD that is doing fine as my current Backup but the overall failure rate of these drives is higher than most according to online info and that makes me nervous. TmB

I too am looking to upgrade my PB 867 my 40 gig HD is almost full (music and fotos) so i went to Microcenter, (which i like better than the apple store, i buy all my apple gear there) Got a price of 200 buck to put in a 80 gig harddrive(samsung). 150 for the HD and 50 for service. seems high
