Help! My PB 667 will not backlite when woken up or started up from battery power. Sometimes it will but after a while I'll have to restart the computer and then it won't. A repair place told me I needed a new logic board for $600 which doesn't interest me. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thank you

Bill, My Pismo came with 9.0.4. But I use 9.2.3 (the latest update) regularly and it's fine. I don't know if it would boot with anything earlier than 9.0.4. Looking at Apple's tech specs, they say the Original SSW was 9.0 (not just 9). So I suspect it *ought* to boot off any version of 9.
