Thank you for your advise. You saved me some $$ and the hassle of a
keyboard replacement! :D

I followed up on your suggestion and booted off an old OS 9.1 CDROM. The
keys worked fine. Then back in Panther(10.3.2) there were no problems!

The only odd things I noticed are:
1. if I hold down the delete key continuously the CD eject icon appears on
the screen and the CD tray pops open.
2. The space key sometimes needs an extra hard wack if I'm typing fast.

This all started with the space bar tab, and delete keys going bad at the
same time. I had used the PB earlier in the day and it worked fine. Then
next time I started up the PB, I was getting no response from those keys.

I still have no idea what that happened or why. The odd habits of the
delete key is a tad annoying but I can put up with.

I'm curious as to the software side of the problem. I've been using OSX
exclusively since 10.2 (There is no OS9 on this PB) and had never had this
problem before..

Still I'm grateful to have the feel of the bronze keyboard back :)
