Further to my earlier email about booting from a La Cie d2 120 mg firewire drive connected to an iBook 900 mhz (640 mg/40 gig) running 10.3.2, holding down the option key while booting results in a screen with 3 options, the drive on the ibook, and the 2 drives I created on the La Cie. To the left is an arrow in a circle, and to the right is an arrow pointing right that looks like a button.
I get what the computer is trying to tell me, but I can't seem to get any key or trackpad maneuver to shift the selection to one of the firewire drives before the system proceeds to boot from the iBook. Any ideas?
Bye-the-way, I have confirmed that the firewire drives work well as boot drives if selected as startup volumes. Carbon Copy Cloner is very cool.
