on Startup of my Lombard I get a black screen with
this message:

/etc/master.passwd: Not a directory
/etc/master.passwd: Not a directory
-sh: /etc/profle: Not a directory
-sh-2.05b# ADB present : 8c

I cannot do an alternate Startup with any key
combination despite having a eDrive Partition setup
for TechTool Pro 4 and a various Startup disks in the
CD drive. For example; holding C on powerup does not
get it to boot from the CD.

Help! What next? ...disconnect the harddrive and try
to boot from CD?

Don Pruitt
